The Astronomical Society of Victoria is thrilled to host VASTROC 2025, marking the 20th anniversary of this celebrated event!

The Victorian Astronomy Convention (VASTROC) is a biennial gathering for amateur astronomers across Victoria. Held in odd-numbered years, it rotates between different astronomical societies in the state, fostering collaboration and community.

In 2025, VASTROC will take place in Geelong, hosted by the ASV Geelong team. The event will run over two days:

• Saturday, August 9th: 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM, followed by stargazing at the ASV Geelong clubrooms (weather permitting).
• Sunday, August 10th: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with additional stargazing afterward (if skies are clear).

This event is open to everyone—astronomy enthusiasts, members of related community groups, and anyone captivated by the wonders of the Universe. Ticket prices will be announced once the venue and program are confirmed.
