ASV Library
One of the many resources available to members is the extensive ASV Library. Nestled within the historic confines of the Old Government Astronomer's Office at Melbourne Observatory, the library boasts an impressive collection of over 4000 books, magazines, star charts, and audio-visual resources that cover the vast realm of astronomy and related subjects.
ASV members have full borrowing privileges of up to four books or magazines and two DVDs per month, allowing you to delve into the fascinating world of astronomy at your own pace. In addition to the lending collection, the library houses a selection of historic books and charts. Although these items cannot be borrowed, they serve as valuable references for those seeking to conduct research in the cozy reading area.
Our volunteers are always eager to assist you in discovering the perfect materials to satisfy your astronomical curiosity. Whether you're seeking specific information, browsing for inspiration, or simply looking for engaging conversations with fellow stargazers, the library is a haven of knowledge and camaraderie.
