Mt Buller Star Fest is back for 2025!!!

The third annual Mt Buller Star Fest, organized by the Astronomical Society of Victoria (ASV) in collaboration with the Mornington Peninsula Astronomical Society, Arlberg House, and Mt Buller, is set to take place from January 3rd to 4th, 2024, at the stunning Arlberg House atop Mt Buller. This highly anticipated event brings together astronomy enthusiasts, photographers, and the general public for a weekend of stargazing and celestial exploration. With a mix of public viewing nights, educational talks, and unique astrophotography opportunities, the Star Fest promises to be an unforgettable experience in one of Victoria's most scenic alpine locations.

Throughout the event, attendees will have the chance to engage in public stargazing sessions, where expert astronomers will guide them in observing the night sky through powerful telescopes. In addition, there will be sunset imaging sessions each evening, allowing photographers to capture the stunning vistas of Mt Buller at twilight, followed by special ski lift photography sessions under the breathtaking Milky Way. These photography sessions offer an unparalleled opportunity to capture the stars from a unique alpine vantage point. Arlberg House will also host a series of insightful talks on space and astronomy, providing guests with a deeper understanding of the cosmos. Whether you're a seasoned astronomer or a first-time stargazer, the third Mt Buller Star Fest offers an exceptional blend of education, adventure, and awe-inspiring views of the universe.
